Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026This policy explains what information Geosium ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Geosium website and monitoring application. We'll update this policy as the product evolves.
Information we collect
- Account information — the email address you sign in with, and your name and organisation if you provide them.
- Project & monitoring data — the sensor configurations, readings, thresholds, files, and other content you upload or connect to your projects.
- Enquiries — if you submit the contact form, we store the email address (and any name, organisation, or message) you provide so we can get in touch.
- Technical data — basic request metadata such as IP-derived country, browser user agent, and referring page, used to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide, maintain, and improve the monitoring service.
- To send service-related and alert notifications you have configured.
- To respond to enquiries and support requests.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
How your data is stored
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Projects are isolated at the database level so no cross-project access is possible. The application runs on AWS infrastructure in São Paulo (sa-east-1); a European region is planned. Your monitoring data belongs to you — we do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with infrastructure providers (such as our cloud host and email provider) that process it on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.
Retention
We keep your account and project data for as long as your account is active. Enquiry details are kept until we no longer need them to contact you. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and export of your project data. Contact us at hello@geosium.com and we will respond promptly.
